Up this week on Casual Fridays is an interview with Due West Education. Due West is an education services company that is passionate about helping students get the information and resources they need to succeed in an increasingly global society. Headquartered in Beijing, China, with offices in Boston, MA, their reach spans the globe from Asia to Europe to the Americas.

Their primary mission – to help students figure out which educational programs are the best fit for them and help guide them through the admissions processes. They also provide education to their students about what it takes to succeed in a competitive Western academic environment. They have mentored hundreds of students in China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Italy, France, US, and Canada, helping them to gain admission to top American Colleges and Universities, all while improving their leadership, academics, and life skills so that they can succeed both academically and personally. 

Due West Education credits their credit strength to being their team members having a multicultural work environment that is supportive, inclusive, and collaborative. With their employees bringing a diverse range of backgrounds and experiences to their table, everyone’s contributions are valued and unique.

Kelly Dougherty: Thank you for joining us Rhianna. Can you introduce yourself and what you do?

Rhianna Aaron: Sure! My name is Rhianna Aaron and I am the Manager of international Recruitment at Due West Education.

KD: Can you tell us a little bit about what you love most about working at Due West?

RA: For me, it’s the chance to collaborate with intelligent, driven colleagues who are enthusiastic about making a difference in the lives of students, helping them to unlock their full potential and achieve their educational goals. KD: How do you think Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion are reflected in hiring practices and mission at the organization?

RA: We prioritize diversity in our recruitment efforts, ensuring that our staff and leadership reflect cultural, socioeconomic, and educational backgrounds

KD: What can you tell us about the positions you hire for?

RA: We are currently recruiting for an International Admissions Counselor, Strategy Counselor, and Manager of High School Preparation. We do recruit all year round, but concentrate our recruitment efforts in January – June. These positions would be ideal for graduating seniors and alums.
