Since its founding in 2008 they have grown to over 1500 employees servicing clients globally in offices around the world, Including Dubai, Hong Kong, London, Hamburg, San Francisco, Tokyo, New York, Seoul, and Shanghai. Over the years, AlphaSights has been a consistent employer partner within the Swarthmore and Tri-Co Community, serving as an internship and full-time employer for many of our graduates.

Today’s interview features Hannah Weingartner, an Associate for Talent Acquisition at AlphaSights.

Kelly Dougherty: Thanks for joining us today, Hannah! What can you tell our students about AlphaSights

Hannah Weingartner: Thank you! Happy to be here to talk about AlphaSights. We are the global leader in knowledge on-demand! Since launching in 2008, we have focused relentlessly on one thing: helping our clients unlock knowledge. We do this by providing frictionless access to the expert insights that matter – whatever the company, sector, geography or topic.

KD: What would you say your favorite part about working at AlphaSights is?

HW: In my two years at AlphaSights, I have absolutely loved the amount of responsibility I have been able to take on and the autonomy I have had over my work and projects. Each year, I have clear goals in terms of my career progression and skill development which has meant my growth has not been stagnant. I have had the opportunity to mentor and train new hires on my team which has allowed me to be a leader early in my career. I have loved being surrounded by driven colleagues who are working towards common goals.

KD: Sounds like a great opportunity and a great place to work. Speaking of, what types of opportunities can our students expect to find at AlphaSights?

HW: Our internship is open to juniors (Dec. 2025-Summer 2026 grads), and our full-time roles are open to seniors (Spring 2025 grads) or recent alums.

KD: What roles are you actively recruiting for?

HW: Full Time Associate, Client Services in New York and San Francisco. We are also recruiting for our internship: Summer Associate, Client Services in both New York and San Francisco as well

KD: What can you tell our students about what they can expect from each of these roles?

HW: The roles are fast-paced and dynamic, where you’ll work towards monthly performance goals. We have a high-performance culture where results drive your success and our people deliver the best output from our clients. While some may find this stressful, we find that our most successful employees find this to be motivating and rewarding.

In the day to day, you’ll need to understand our clients’ precise requirements, identify and vet suitable experts, and connect them with your clients across the various formats (phone, in-person, surveys, etc.) at speed. You’ll frequently work on several projects simultaneously, juggling multiple client requests at any given time. The nature of our clients’ work means projects frequently pivot or get canceled. You’ll gain their respect and loyalty by being highly responsive, thinking ahead, making their problems your own, and going the extra mile.

KD: This is all great information! Can you talk to us a little bit about the ways in which diversity and inclusion are represented in your organization?

HW: Diversity is one of our key focus areas and our strategy is two fold:

  1. We’re committed to increasing the overall number of diverse applicants and making our interview process as equitable as possible
  2. We’re focused on creating an inclusive workforce for those who join us, and are actively working on training and curriculum for employees to take part in.

With our client services role, we offer programmatic compensation evolution to avoid any versions of gender and diversity pay gaps. Furthermore, we follow a data-driven, transparent promotion process to ensure unbiased career advancement for all of our associates and managers

We have various employee resource groups that all members of the business are able to be a part of including the Women’s Initiative Network (WIN) @AS, Black Professionals @AS, Asian Knowledge Inclusion Network (AKIN) @AS, Pride @AS, Latinos @AS, Parents @AS, Sustainability @AS, MINDs @AS.

KD: Thank you for taking the time to share all of this with us Hannah! Who would be the best contact for our students to reach if they have any other questions?

HW: They can contact me, Hannah Weingartner (hannah.weingartner@alphasights.com)
