Junior Digital Content Creator

Onsite – Plano, Texas | Entry-Level Opportunity

ABOUT POINT

Point is an independent, full-service marketing communications agency that originally spun out of Tracy Locke. For more than 30 years, we have helped fuel business growth for start-ups, midsize-to-large corporations, and Fortune 500 companies across the country.

Our team brings experience from both the client and agency sides, creating customized, integrated solutions that connect creative work to our clients’ business goals.

JOB SCOPE & PURPOSE

Point is looking for an early-career Digital Content Creator with hands-on experience creating social media content, editing short-form videos, and designing engaging digital assets.

You might have developed your skills through an internship, freelance work, a campus organization, a personal content channel, or projects for a business. If you can turn an idea into a polished Reel, TikTok, social graphic, or other digital content-and are eager to grow-we want to see your work.

You will collaborate with our senior creative team and Point Studios, our in-house production division, to create content for a diverse range of clients. The role offers opportunities to develop skills in digital design, video production, motion graphics, and web and UX/UI design with guidance from experienced team members.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Create and edit short-form videos for Instagram Reels, TikTok, and other digital platforms using CapCut or similar tools.

Design social graphics, digital campaign assets, and presentation materials using Canva, Adobe tools, or comparable platforms.

Edit footage, select clips, and add captions, music, transitions, and simple animation to produce engaging, brand-appropriate content.

Adapt content for different platforms, audiences, formats, and brand standards.

Assist with content planning, storyboarding, and production alongside senior creatives and Point Studios.

Collaborate with designers, copywriters, strategists, account managers, and producers to bring creative concepts to life.

Apply feedback, prepare revisions, and deliver organized files that meet project specifications and deadlines.

Support web and landing-page design projects while learning digital layout and UX/UI fundamentals.

Follow social content trends and share ideas relevant to client goals.

Explore new creative tools, including AI-powered tools, under team guidance and applicable client requirements.

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION

Practical experience creating social content and short-form video through internships, employment, freelance projects, academic work, campus organizations, or personal projects.

A portfolio or collection of work demonstrating video editing, social content, and basic design skills.

Working knowledge of CapCut, Canva, or similar content creation tools.

A foundation in typography, color, composition, and visual storytelling.

Familiarity with Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and the content formats used across these platforms.

Degree, education or experience in marketing, communications, digital media, graphic design, advertising, or a related field. A specific degree is not required.

Must have experience:

Experience with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, or After Effects.

Exposure to Figma, web design, UX/UI, or motion graphics.

Experience capturing photo or video content.

Familiarity with social media analytics and using performance insights to improve content.

KNOWLEDGE & ABILITY

A strong visual eye and the ability to create content that fits a brand and its audience.

Willingness to learn, ask questions, and apply creative feedback.

Ability to move from an idea to a finished asset with attention to detail.

Strong organization and time-management skills.

Clear communication and a collaborative approach.

Curiosity about digital storytelling, emerging platforms, and new creative techniques.

HOW TO APPLY

Please submit your resume and a portfolio link or work samples. Include examples of short-form video and social graphics, and briefly describe your contribution to each project.

Internship, freelance, academic, campus organization, and personal work are welcome. We are interested in what you can create and how you approach the work.
